MudMap Studio worked together with the Broome community and the Shire of Broome to provide a master plan for Broome’s Town Beach – a significant cultural and historical location and an important community and tourist space.

The design approach was to understand, respect and enhance existing site uses, with the resulting master plan including youth and nature play, terraced viewing for the ‘staircase to the moon’, interpretation and art, a look out and memorial, as well as an expansion of the existing water park. 

MudMap Studio’s role throughout this project was to … undertake engagement with the key stakeholders and develop an agreed masterplan. This masterplan was used to successfully receive funding for the future stage of the project.
